Q: 01 - What is the difference between regular DVDs and DVD-ROMs?

A:
DVDs specifically use the MPEG-2 audio/video format and are limited to about 2 hours of video, normally. DVD discs can be viewed on a DVD player for the living room or conference room. A DVD-ROM disc can hold 4.3 Gigabytes of computer files and therefore can hold many, many hours of video training AND the project files. This disc is intended for your computer. A DVD can be viewed on a computer, as well, but it is still limited to about 2 hours of training, because MPEG-2 takes up a lot of space. Also, DVD video doesn’t look as sharp as the videos we put on DVD-ROM discs. We have stuffed over 28 hours of video training on DVD-ROM discs in comparison to a normal DVD disc. The main benefit of using a DVD disc is that they are portable to DVD players in your living room, but using the video-out port of your computer, you can technically watch the video on your television. DVD-ROMs offer many, many more benefits than DVD discs. They are higher in quality, able to store much more information (including project files) and they can contain application software, like our outstanding customized video player!

Q: 02 - How do I use the project files on the disc?

A:
It is best to read the ReadMe file located in the root of your disc or view the online training library help files for online videos. Normally, you just located the project file folder on the disc and drag it to your desktop or your folder of choice. You cannot normally run project files off of the discs. Some application software needs a writable version of a project file or asset to function correctly and may give you false errors. So, it is best to run projects off of your hard drive after they have been copied there. Keep in mind the size of the project files folder. You can right-click (or control-click on the mac) to get the folder size information. Maybe you only want to copy over individual folders if you are limited with disc space, but if you have a normal or modern computer with a decent amount of free space, you will be fine.

Q: 03 - How long will my discs take to arrive after purchase?

A:
All US orders arrive within 2-3 business days to most cities in the US. Canada can take 4-7 days. Orders for the US, Canada, and Mexico are shipped from Georgia, USA. European orders are shipped from Munich, Germany. All orders to Europe take 2-4 business days. Orders to the United Kingdom usually arrive in 3 business days, but can take 2-4 business days, as well. Canadian orders take 4-6 business days to arrive. All other international orders take from 4-8 business days (or longer) depending on the destination country.

Q: 04 - How long does it usually take to ship an order?

A:
All orders are shipped within 24-48 hours of placing the order. We make every attempt to ship orders on the same business day; however we may experience congestion when we receive bulk orders and busy periods. Our discs are always in stock due to our organized process. Orders placed over the weekend usually ship on Monday or Tuesday. We do not ship on major holidays. We have a very reliable holiday shipping schedule, so feel free to order during December with confidence!

Q: 05 - What is the best way to use the training?

A:
The best way to use the training is to follow along with the advice of the instructor as you go along. Usually, you can skip around from topic to topic if you want to start somewhere specific. Sometimes you may have to refer back to an earlier video, but the instructor will keep you up to date of where you need to reference another video. The instructor will give you many real-world tips and tricks that you can try on your own and let you know when you need to watch out for stumbling blocks. It is best to start of just watch and listening to the earlier projects. When the instructor is ready for you to dive in, you will usually get a cue where you can pause the video and try the same project along in the application open in the background. You will always be given advice along the way and you will know when to sit and enjoy the tutorials or be active in your approach. You are going to learn quite a lot and remember what you learned! If something isn’t sinking in, then take a break or skip to another section, or sleep on it. There is no better instruction on the market today. You have your own personal instructor with you 24-7 with many videos that you can watch again and again.

Q: 06 - Why are your training products better than the competition?

A:
For one, we deliver the highest audio and video quality. We carefully design real-world projects that you can start to use right away. We offer an over-abundance of information. We usually give many more hours of training, samples, and spend an incredible amount of energy on detail and quality. Our instructors are experts in their fields and they love what they do. They also enjoy sharing knowledge with you. Some trainers use video training as an advertisement for their services or other marketing. Our goal is to teach you how to use the software or technology effective in the shortest period of time. We roll up our sleeves and go to work with you as if we are sitting right besides you 24 hours a day 7 days a week if necessary. Our DVD-ROMs discs are produced with the highest quality. You don’t get 20 discs to fumble through. Usually one or two discs with the right professional compression will give you more than 10-20 discs worth of inferior quality. Our video player is custom made and a leading player on the market. It is designed to allow you to quickly find what you need and get started. Our discs serve as a complete reference that you can come back to again and again. Many competing titles don’t offer enough information that allows you to use their discs again and again. Also, the pace of our training is made for all types of users from beginners to experts. The trainers are bright, energetic, enthusiastic, calm, and friendly. Enjoy our process, because you are going to learn quite a lot!

Q: 07 - What is "lossless quality" and why do I care?

A:
"Lossless" quality means that the image and/or audio quality is at the highest quality without any strange imperfections in the frames or sound. Audio sounds crystal clear and video is smooth, sharp, and looks great from frame to frame. Many training titles today offer inferior audio and video quality! The picture might start to show messy pixels or refresh poorly. This is distracting and leads to eye strain as you struggle to concentrate on small areas of the screen. Audio quality with poor compression sounds horrible and distracts you and can possibly give you a headache after prolonged use. Imagine listing to poor audio with your headphones! We offer the very best quality and often use "lossless" quality on many of our products. Sometimes the files are too big, so we compress a little here and there depending on the product. But we offer the very best quality on the market. Our training discs are easy to listen to and easy to view for many hours in a row (all day if necessary). Our DVD-ROMs are of a much higher quality than DVD discs. DVD quality is fine for movies on your TV set, but they are not good for viewing training. This is a limitation of the quality of the MPEG-2 compression of normal DVD. HD is much better, obviously, but still it is not as good as DVD-ROM discs that use a "lossless" video codec.

Q: 08 - Are your products Windows or Macintosh compatible?

A:
Both. We offer training discs that are both Windows and Mac compatible on the same disc. A product may be specifically be made for a particular platform, however, and this is rare. Please see the individual product page for all the system requirements. We are looking to add Linux support in the near future for titles that would benefit Linux users.

Q: 09 - Will your DVD discs work in Europe (or other parts of the world)?

A:
Yes. Our discs do not contain any region settings. Our DVD-ROMs will work in ANY country as long as you have a DVD drive on your computer and follow the system requirements for your product. Most system requirements are geared towards most modern computers in use today for the widest audience.

Q: 10 - I don't see any video. What should I do?

A:
Most times you don't have the required video codec installed. Most products do not require any additional installed software, but please review the readme.txt file in the root of your product disc or review the online support information (if you are using the online video library). The ReadMe file may be in PDF, DOC, or TXT format.

A:
We currently offer up to two-day and three-day UPS as the quickest service. Contact us – we can work with you to help you in times of special attention! However, our Global Priority service will arrive in 2-3 business days in most circumstances and it is the best shipping value for you. We have had great experiences with this inexpensive and reliable shipping method throughout the years. If UPS is not available at the time of your purchase, that means we have temporarily withdrawn UPS due to congestion. If this is an inconvenience to you, please contact us page before placing your order. Again, Global Priority is a very quick and reliable service at a great price.

We understand you sometimes need products right away. We have even shipped to people’s hotel rooms in other cities! Please keep in mind that all orders are shipped out within 24-48 hours after an order is placed. This depends on the time of day the order entered. Most times we can ship the same day, but our warehouse reserves a potential buffer time. You can see all the shipping methods on the checkout page at the time of your order. Government orders can select UPS if they prefer to use this shipping method. We have an extremely reliable shipping schedule, including holidays!

International orders take 2-4 business days to be received in Europe. Orders for the US, Canada and Mexico are shipped from the USA, while orders shipped for Europe are shipped from Germany. This allows the fastest service for all our worldwide customers. All other International orders take 4-8 business days (or longer) depending on the destination country.
