About Piracy
Updated 01/01/2007

Do you know of any individual or business that is selling, installing, and/or using unlicensed or counterfeit copies of Quixel Video software or products? You can help us put a stop to this illegal activity and help our company sustain the resources to improve our training, produce more products, and give the best service to our customers. Quixel Video training is the most economically priced training on the market and is delivered at the highest quality. Thank you for your support!

Piracy affects all of us! Piracy increases prices, cost many jobs, destroys software companies, limits innovative features, and it's illegal. Piracy laws in the United States, Europe and the rest of the world carry severe penalties: stiff fines and even jail time for even "normal" downloaders, counterfeiters, businesses, consumers and students. Help us stop piracy before it destroys the software industry and ruins the lives of good people. Many great companies have closed their doors due to software piracy and many more will continue to go out of business due to piracy alone.

What is piracy?
Piracy is the duplication, distribution or use of Software applications, DVDs or CDs without authorization from the copyright owner. Basically, it is giving software or discs to another person that is not authorized to use the software.

Some examples of piracy include:

  • Downloading software and discs without permission or payment.

  • Making copies of discs or software to loan to friends or associates.

  • Using license keys that you are not authorized to use or re-use.

  • Installing one licensed copy onto multiple computers (when the license agreement forbids such activity).

  • Selling counterfeit or "back-up" copies online or anywhere else.

How can you identify pirated Quixel Video products?

  • Products available for download on sites other than Quixel Video (quixelvideo.com). Only our main site is authorized to allow downloads.

  • Products purchased that are not in new and properly sealed packaging.

  • Products purchased that have unprofessional or cheap looking discs or packaging. Our discs are normally full color on the disc face and delivered in full-color, high-quality, glossy DVD boxes.

  • Products that are not offered from Quixel Video or an *authorized* reseller or distributor. Our site has details about the authorized third-parties that are permitted to sell our products for delivery. Contact us if you have any further questions or concerns.

What if you discover that you may have purchased pirated products?
We can resolve this with you and would appreciate any information you can provide for us.
