QuickTime Support
Some of our training makes use of the QuickTime Player. You will find the system requirements on the front of your disc case. The minimum version will be listed. If QuickTime is required for your product, please review the following information if you run into technical issues. QuickTime functionality can change based on the version that you have installed. Normally, most versions of QuickTime work with our products without any issue. Sometimes, Apple makes subtle changes that may require you to update your player or change a setting preference. QuickTime Player is very easy to update from the Apple website or directly within the software itself.
It is best to use the latest version of QuickTime player for Mac or Windows.

- QuickTime 7.1.3 and no navigation buttons in the interface:
If you intend to use QuickTime Player 7.1.3 you will need to turn ON Flash support in the QuickTime preferences. Flash is turned off by default as of this particular version.
- Close any open Quixel Video training
- Launch QuickTime Player 7.1.3
- Select "QuickTime Preferences"
(Mac: in the QuickTime Menu, Windows: Edit > QuickTime Preferences)
- Click to the "Advanced" Tab
- Enable Flash by checking "Enable Flash" or "Enable playback of Flash Tracks" checkbox selection.
- Be sure to exit the QuickTime Player completely and any applications that use QuickTime!
- Restart the Quixel Video training and the menus and chapters will be in place.

- No video is displayed during playback.
You may need to install the audio or video codec in the software folder of your disc. Please review the ReadMe.txt file in your main disc folder. Close any QuickTime Player software before installing any codecs. You may need to restart your system, but in most circumstances this is not necessary.
- Older versions of QuickTime Player 5.
Please upgrade to QuickTime 6.01 or better. QuickTime 7.1 or greater is recommended but not necessary.
- Updating existing QuickTime Software.
You can easily update your QuickTime Software from the QuickTime
Preferences of the QuickTime Player. (On Mac you can also check for software updates using the Software Update mechanisms in the System Preferences Applet.)
- Launch QuickTime Player 7.1.3
- Select "QuickTime Preferences"
(Mac: in the QuickTime Menu, Windows: Edit > QuickTime Preferences)
- Click to the "Advanced" Tab
- Enable Flash by checking "Enable Flash" or "Enable playback of Flash Tracks" checkbox selection.
- Be sure to exit the QuickTime Player completely and any applications that use QuickTime!
